The Technical Writer is responsible for writing clear and exact SOPs, Work Instructions, and other formalized documents for the operations team per quality standards. 

This position is part of the Learning and Development Team and will be located in Lodi, CA. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Write clear and exact SOPs, Work Instructions, and other formalized documents for the operations team per quality standards
• Act as site technical writing consultant, providing start to finish document development and professional advice
• Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension
• Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed
• Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 2+ years of experience working in technical writing, project management, or related field 
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Operations, engineering, or operations support 
• Instructional Design experience 
• Mastery of Written Communication Skills

The salary range for this role is $85,000-$105,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
