OverviewJob Title: Technical Writer Location: National Capital Region (Washington DC and surrounding areas) Rivet Operations Company is looking for a Technical Writer to produce and refine the key deliverables of an enterprise-wide acquisition portfolio management effort for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in the National Capital Region. The IT Specialist role is responsible for drafting, formatting, and editing the effort's major deliverables, maintaining consistent templates and version control, and incorporating review comments to ensure documents are complete, accurate, and delivered on time. This position is a strong fit for a writer who can translate technical and policy content into polished, review-ready deliverables in a federal program environment.
Key Responsibilities• Support development and upkeep of the Project Management Plan and its supporting sections• Draft, format, and edit major deliverables• Prepare and refine status reports and meeting materials• Establish and maintain consistent formatting, templates, style, and version control across all documentation• Incorporate review comments and support quality control processes, ensuring deliverables are complete, accurate, and free of material errors• Handle and store Government information and CUI in accordance with DHS records management and information protection requirements
RequirementsRequired Qualifications• U.S. citizenship and able to pass a High-Risk Public Trust background investigation.• Must possess a Bachelor's degree related to the field of work• 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience as as a technical writer or editor supporting federal programs• Proven ability to produce clear, professional documentation from technical, acquisition, or policy source material• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Prior experience within the Department of Homeland security with familiarity in cybersecurity is desired

Physical Requirements:Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting up to 40 lbs.
