Job Profile: Product Documentation Engineer – Technical PublicationsRole OverviewThe Product Documentation Engineer is responsible for creating, updating, and reviewing technical documentation for complex engineering systems and products. This role bridges engineering and publication teams to ensure that documentation is accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with internal standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Safety, Legal, Engineering, Technical Writers) to gather technical content and resolve documentation gaps.
- Develop redlines and revise core manuals including Safety, SSPS, Operations, Functional Description, Preventive Maintenance (PM), Startup, Schematics.
- Utilize documentation workflows using JIRA
- Excellent English language verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in technical publishing software:
- DITA XML: Oxygen Editor
- Content Management System (CMS): SDL Tridion Docs
- Adobe Suite: Acrobat Pro DC, FrameMaker
- MS Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of specific products and documentation types which require content development. You will be matched with the documentation requests of the tools you support.
- Ability to interpret engineering data and translate it into clear, structured documentation.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional organization and multitask on multiple projects.
- Self-motivated with strong time management, organizational, and collaboration abilities to ensure documentation completeness.
- Total 4-6 years of Technical Documentation experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of Experience in DITA XML technical writing
- Technical Documentation in Semiconductor field is added advantage
- Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field
- Quality and clarity of documentation delivered.
- Timeliness of document updates and revisions.
