In the Technical Writer, Software & Controls role you will be responsible for the following:
- Work cross-functionally with Software & Controls teams to gain a technical understanding of Fluence software, digital, & controls platform.
- Work cross-functionally with the Product team to provide product internal & external documentation that supports the Fluence vision and roadmap.
- Create product & technical documents, such as manuals, guides, drawings, certifications, datasheets, and Help systems, to include context-sensitive help elements linked into Fluence software, digital, & controls platform.
- Create software release notes on a regular cadence to highlight features, updates, and notes for Fluence software, digital, & controls platform.
- Write clear, easy-to-understand documents depicting highly technical subjects, with excellent grammar and composition skills which follow industry standards.
- Work with minimal direction toward predetermined goals and solve problems before they are experienced in the field.
- Develop a strong understanding of document structure, subject matter, formal grammar rules, and departmental and industry standards.
What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical writing, software development, or related field.
- Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of technical writing experience, preferably in industrial or energy environments.
- Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Sharepoint, and technical authoring tools, such as Madcap Flare.
- Proven ability to work effectively across multiple teams and projects concurrently, in a global technical business environment.
