Positions in this function write and edit material for various organization publications, including but not limited to internal communications, speeches, press releases, and on-line content. May assist in estimating production costs and overseeing work done by external vendors. These positions typically report into a Communications Manager or Director.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Write and edit internal web-based procedural material
- Review and analyze current material and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, and content for improvements
- Participate in projects and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with interviewing subject matter experts to become familiar with applications and production methods
- Assist with validating deliverables for accuracy, readability, and usability while adhering to style guide standards
- Manage review, approval, and execution processes to ensure achievement of writing objectives in addition to quality and turnaround time standards
- Know audience(s) to be addressed in the writing process (e.g., who they are, where they are, how they prefer to get information, reading level and health literacy requirements)
- Monitor feedback on procedural material and address questions or concerns as appropriate; follow up with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensures compliance with applicable timelines and quality standards
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of working knowledge in each of the following: Microsoft Office Suite including MS Excel, Power Point, and Word
- 1+ years Business or Technical Writing experience or writing experience across various industries (standard operating procedures, job aids, user manuals, and product release documentation)
- Developing proficiency level in Lean and process mapping
- Proven excellent verbal and written communications, time management, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated solid people skills with the ability to work with different levels of the organization
- Demonstrated solid analytical skills
Demonstrated flexibility to work and support a "constant change" environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Communication, English, or Business Administration
- Certification in Technical Writing
- 1+ years of experience with HTML & CSS
- Experience with Microsoft Visio
