Technical Writer - Freelance

Quandela is a leading provider of quantum computing solutions that leverage the power of single photons. We are looking for a talented Technical Writer to help us create and manage a variety of technical documentation, including user manuals, maintenance manuals, developer guides, and API references. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills, be comfortable working with technical teams, and have a passion for quantum computing.

Responsibilities

• Generate, update and maintain user manuals and technical documentation for internal and external use, ensuring accuracy and clarity of information.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather the necessary technical information and ensure that all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Understand and translate technical information into clear, concise, easy-to-understand documentation.
• Create technical documents and manuals in formats suitable for publication, including but not limited to PDF, HTML, and online help systems.
• Ensure that all documents are compliant with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations and industry standards.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of technical documentation, making recommendations for improvements as needed.

• Strong technical writing skills in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Familiarity with technical writing tools such as Microsoft Office, Markdown, LateX, web applications
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical concepts.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (physics, IT) or equivalent experience.
