Position Overview:

The Technical Transformation Specialist plays a key role in supporting the successful adoption and integration of new technologies and processes within SECU.  As part of a dynamic team, this position works cross-functionally to bridge the gap between business units, operations, and IT, ensuring that all technical initiatives align with the organization's strategic goals. This role is focused on optimizing processes, implementing effective solutions, and driving operational efficiency to system conversions and transformation to improve member experience, service delivery, and overall organizational performance with a focus on deposit accounts and systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • (40%) Partner with business leaders, IT, and project managers to understand project requirements, scope, and objectives. Translate business needs into actionable plans and facilitate communication between non-technical and technical teams.
  • (30%) Assist in providing guidance to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology enhancements with a focus on deposit accounts and operations processes.  Develop and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiencies, streamline workflows, increase productivity, and enhance the overall employee and member experience.
  • (20%) Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of technical transformation projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
  • (10%) Act as liaison between technical and operations teams to provide guidance on updating and developing new procedures based on technology changes.

Required Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • 5+ years of financial services experience
  • Experience with bank or credit union core systems
  • Experience with bank or credit union system conversions
  • Experience working with IT and Operation teams in the financial industry
  • High degree of written and verbal communication skills, professionalism, and good organizational skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to speak English fluently
  • Highly member service oriented
  • Highly collaborative
  • Minimum direct years of experience

Preferred Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with technical aspects of deposit account and CIF related banking systems

Job Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting for prolonged periods
  • Computer for prolonged periods
  • Travel to conferences as needed
