What is the Rockwell Automation University (RAU) ?
Rockwell Automation University provides our employees, partners, and customers with comprehensive training and learning to improve their skills. Our goal is to upskill engineers through a mix of formal learning either through eLearning, instructor-led, virtual training, and more.
The Rockwell Automation University (RAU) School of Technology is a Team that serves all of Rockwell Automation by raising the competency level of hands-on technical resources.
Location: Katowice - hybrid
Reporting to: Manager, RAU Global Competency Delivery
Your Responsibilities:
- Leadership responsibilities:
- Daily people management, including developing the team towards future skills and roles
- Oversee the EMEA delivery schedule for all partners, programs, and technology for which they are responsible for
- Assign and manage work, including delegating to promote team development
- Set goals, conducting performance reviews, coaching, and engaging the team
- Plan and manage training events
- Plan for hardware upgrades, purchases, funding (AOP) (global)
- Address roadblocks and issues
- Additional responsibilities:
- Guide communication between RAU and its important partners, which include Product Divisions, technical resources, design&development engineering, commercial Engineering, Sales Enablement, marketing, and partner companies
- Ensure understanding of the diverse audiences served by RAU's technical training across the pre-sales, post-sales, and customer training spectrum, and the different industries and applications we serve.
- Provide consultation and occasional instructional support for team
- Perform supporting functions/tasks as assigned by manager
- Take advantage of professional development opportunities to stay current on competency best practices, leadership techniques, for self and the team. This includes conferences, professional societies, networking.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree (technical background will be an additional advantage)
- Experience in people management role
- Travel 15% of the time, domestic or international
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Minimum 2+ years in leadership role
- Experience leading programs and/or projects
- Experience with technology and desire to be involved in the future of industrial manufacturing
- Experience collaborating and build trust with others involved at different levels.
- Experience forecasting future needs of delivery in respective technologies, including major technical shifts in products, financial implications for assets, and shifts in delivery mechanisms
- Experience formulating actions from information provided, balancing priorities, details, and moving parts.
- Experience resolving issues in creative ways and foster continuous improvement mindset
- Experience in understanding and combining multiple Business Strategies
- Experience developing strategies that challenge the status quo through innovation.
- Experience with positively affecting diversity, equity, and inclusion
