Position Essential Functions
  • Work in a deadline driven environment, handle multiple technical assistance requests at a time and provide positive outcomes.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure consistent, objective, and accurate information is provided to customers in a timely manner.
  • Manage the account creation approval process to ensure the legitimacy of newly created accounts.
  • Research, test, and problem solve programs and system issues that staff and the public experience.
  • Work and manage system issue tickets received through a Help Desk Ticketing system.
  • Create new customized templates and modify existing templates when pulling ad-hoc data reports.
  • Develop customized reports and dashboards within the EmployOklahoma case management system.   
  • Answer e-mails that are received from Employers, Staff, Job Seekers, and Claimants to assist them with program or Workforce system and UI system issues that they are experiencing.
  • Test issues that Employers, Staff, Job Seekers, and Claimants might experience with the Workforce system and UI system. 
  • Provide business testing for fixes and new change requirements to the multiple programs within the Workforce and UI systems.
  • Create and prepare special assignments using a variety of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • Participate on workgroups and collaborate with other agency staff in the process of developing Workforce and Unemployment Insurances Systems
  • Research to determine if Federal contractors are in compliance with the mandatory job listings requirements for the Federal Contractor Compliance Programs (OFCCP).  Prepare OFCCP reports.
  • Verify OK Work Registration
  • Conduct quarterly data validation on WIOA Title I and Title III enrollments.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Federal regulations, State policies / procedures, and U.S. Department of Labor guidelines pertaining to Labor Exchange and Unemployment Insurance.
  • Follow required OESC safety / security protocols.
  • On-site attendance is an essential function of the position, as the role requires direct interaction with staff, clients, and on-site office resources.

Physical Demands/Work Environment
  • Work is typically performed in the office setting with climate-controlled settings and exposure to noise levels determined by the office environment.  While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms requiring periods of sitting or standing and daily use of computer and phone. It also requires the occasional use of the office machinery in accordance with safety and security protocols.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional level experience in workforce development or information technology support for each year of the required education.

 

Special Skills/Requirements/Preferences
  • Computer Skills – Employee must be capable of proficiently using OESC’s standard software (Microsoft Office - Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Teams), and the Internet, as well as proficiency to learn other software as needed.
  • Employee must be capable of lifting, carrying and moving objects of up to 25 pounds.
