Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. GFT’s impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.
What is the opportunity?
As a Technical Systems Analyst (TSA), you will support the HR Incentive Compensation Technology team as a technical analyst working in operations. You will execute tools to generate reports, perform debugging of system issues, and recommend and implement system optimizations.
What you will do?
- Generate reports using Microsoft.NET (C#), SQL Server and Microsoft Access technologies
- Automate deployments using DevOps processes
- Automate unit tests
- Complete infrastructure upgrades including but not limited to operating system updates and database version upgrades.
- Participate in and assist with Azure implementations.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bachelor’s degree or College certificate in an information technology-related discipline with 2 years of experience in C#.NET with both Microsoft.NET Core and traditional ASP.NET.
- Experience with SQL Server
- Experienced with using Microsoft Windows
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure & Experience implementing processes on Microsoft Azure, including but not limited to development, testing, infrastructure.
- Exposure to building DevOps pipelines
Nice-to-have
- Experience using JIRA
- Mainframe skills with JCL and SYSIN on zOS
- Linux experience
- Oracle experience
- Experience creating test plans, writing and executing test cases, documenting results.
