Stellenbeschreibung
As Technical Sustainability Manager Global Tubular Glass, you will be responsible for the operational implementation of Gerresheimer's sustainability strategy for our Tubular Glass business unit. In this role, you will accompany our Tubular Glass sites worldwide and maintain close communication with colleagues from corporate sustainability as well as technical sustainability managers from other business units.
Your Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and monitoring the implementation of the sustainability strategy as well as global standards and requirements within the "Tubular Glass" business unit worldwide.
- Establishing and monitoring initiatives and programs to achieve defined sustainability goals
- Identifying best practices related to environmental issues such as energy, water, waste, emissions, etc., and promoting their implementation at production sites
- Improving sustainability awareness through activities such as training, communication, and other exchange formats
- Ensuring systematic data collection within the business unit for internal and external sustainability reporting in cooperation with the corporate sustainability management of the Gerresheimer Group
- Participating in national and international working groups in the sustainability field and advising business unit management
- Supporting customer-specific projects (e.g., Product Carbon Footprint)
- Observing and evaluating trends and legal requirements
Qualifikationen
Your profile should include the following skill set:
- Successfully completed studies in environmental technology, engineering, natural sciences, or equivalent qualification
- Initial relevant professional experience in sustainability management in a manufacturing company, preferably in the packaging industry
- Technical understanding and interest in implementing ecological sustainability at the level of production sites or process and product levels
- Experience in dealing with external sustainability reporting standards is advantageous
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken
- Assertiveness, high self-motivation, and a problem-solving hands-on mentality.
- Willingness to travel
