Job Description
Maintains and installs hardware, software and personal computer systems. Supports plant floor hardware and software installation and maintenance. Meets with end users to determine types of software and hardware support needs.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and repair personal computers for end users according to their needs and specifications.
- Conduct initial troubleshooting related to hardware and software issues.
- Install and maintain hardware and software including plant floor hardware and software.
- Assist Network Engineer in the configuration and implementation of networks, including related hardware and software.
- Maintain hardware and software surplus inventory and disposal in compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Serve as point of contact for external vendors and contractors for onsite visits.
- Provide Operator Scheduler & Support backup coverage for all shifts.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business or related field; or Associate’s degree in information systems, business or related field with 4 years of information technology experience.
- 2 years of information technology experience including operating systems, network operating systems, scanning devices, and/or importing and exporting data.
- Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
- Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
- Strong work ethic, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel up to 25% including daily between plant locations.
- Ability to work all shift schedules as needed for backup purposes.
- Ability to walk long distances daily and be comfortable working in lifts.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Unidata and/or Oracle troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Environment, data communications, network operations, local and wide area network, security, virus management and backup and recovery management.
- A+ certification.
- Network+ certification.
- Previous Manufacturing experience.
