About the role

We are currently recruiting a Technical Support Specialist to support our Freight Forwarding operations in France. The primary objective of this role is to provide reliable first‑ and second‑level technical support to ensure smooth, secure, and efficient IT operations across the country.

The role is based at our Paris Roissy office and will primarily support multiple locations across France, mainly remotely, with occasional on‑site visits as required. Supported locations include Le Havre, Marseille, Nantes, Lyon, Paris Orly, Saint‑Nazaire, Bordeaux, and Lille, with potential support for additional sites in the region.

In this position, the Technical Support Specialist will deliver hands‑on support for end‑user devices such as laptops, desktops, printers, and barcode scanners, while also implementing and maintaining IT standards defined by the System and Network Engineering teams. This includes supporting infrastructure related to desktops, WAN/LAN networks, servers, and disaster recovery.

The role sits within the Technical Support Services (TSS) team, which provides high‑quality second‑line support to up to 250 sites across Europe. The team also plays a key role in delivering IT infrastructure for new business wins and site launches.

How you will contribute

  • Provide first‑ and second‑level end‑user support for all end‑device equipment, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and barcode scanners
  • Ensure the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the core ICT infrastructure across all Freight Forwarding locations (servers, clients, network, telephony, Microsoft 365, Tanium)
  • Deliver first‑ and second‑level diagnostic support to the System & Network Engineering teams and the Service Desk, including documentation of site‑specific networks, servers, and end devices
  • Create and update work instructions and technical documentation, ensuring correct formatting and storage in line with TSS team standards
  • Participate in the global on‑call support rotation, providing support to DP World sites worldwide and connecting to the network within 10 minutes when on call
  • Monitor service desk alerts and emails, resolving or escalating incidents as required, including weekend change‑management support when on call
  • Adhere to and support DP World security, change, incident, and problem management processes, including asset tracking, procurement compliance, and onsite support for new site launches or infrastructure refreshes
     

What you will bring

  • Qualification in Computer Science or equivalent professional training/certification, with relevant experience in a technical environment
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to create, document, and follow processes and procedures
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with IT colleagues, business stakeholders, and external auditors, while maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with a positive and professional approach
  • Solid working knowledge of desktop hardware, operating systems, software, network systems, server hardware, and protocols
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
  • Fluency in English and French (written and spoken) is highly desirable, with willingness to travel up to 25%
