The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for front-line support of all office computers, mobile devices, printers, and network devices. Responsible for working with other IT staff in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting technical equipment and supporting employees of PSF, affiliated entities, and contracted partners. This position reports to the Technical Support Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provides Level 1 and 2 support to all PSF, affiliated entities, and contracted partners.
- Sets up, maintains, tests, installs, and repairs personal computers, mobile devices, networks, and related equipment.
- Installs add-on computer peripherals, tests for correct functioning, and makes all appropriate network connections.
- Installs, patches, and upgrades Windows operating systems and Windows-based software and hardware.
- Performs in-person and remote support of all PSF, affiliated entities, and contracted partners.
- Sets up and supports wireless systems.
- Provides IT training to new hires as needed.
- Displays understanding of, and sensitivity to, service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Performs other related job duties as assigned.
The position may involve acquiring, accessing, using, and safeguarding Protected Health Information according to applicable law and agency Policies and Procedures for Protected Health Information.
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; and (1) year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Qualifications:
One technical Certification (i.e., CompTIA, Microsoft Certified Professional) preferred.
Possession of a valid, State of Florida driver’s license to operate the motor vehicle operated; Requirement exists at the time of hire and as a condition of continued employment.
