You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.
The work model for the role is:
onsite
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Provide application support and system solution design centered on variable frequency drives while also covering low-voltage motors, including product selection, parameterization, control and communication, harmonics and EMC, braking and regeneration, functional safety, motor-load matching, inverter-duty suitability, insulation, bearing protection, cooling and derating, and system risk identification.
  • Conduct application research and customized development for target industries. Translate industry processes, load characteristics, control logic, equipment interfaces, environmental conditions, regulatory requirements, and common customer needs into industry specifications, dedicated functions, control solutions, and configuration packages. Work with R&D and product teams on design, validation, iteration, and change management to create repeatable, scalable, and maintainable industry solutions.
  • Analyze complex application and customer-site issues by systematically collecting failure symptoms, operating parameters, historical records, and test data. Perform root cause analysis across drives, motors, loads, control systems, power supply conditions, and process flows; develop clear conclusions and corrective recommendations, coordinate implementation, and verify effectiveness to achieve problem closure.
  • Support technical and commercial quotations, customer engagement, solution presentations, and training. Collaborate with sales, application, product, service, and supply chain teams on risk reviews and high-quality delivery; capture analysis reports, best practices, and standard solutions, and convert customer and market feedback into product improvements and service opportunities.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in electrical engineering, automation, electrical machines and apparatus, mechatronics, or a related discipline. Relevant experience in variable frequency drives, drive systems, or industrial automation is required; experience in low-voltage motor applications, service, or selection is preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of drive control principles, parameterization, communication, and system integration, as well as induction motors, permanent-magnet motors, and common industrial loads. Ability to understand electrical drawings, control logic, customer specifications, and tender documents, and to translate common and differentiated industry needs into technical specifications, dedicated functions, configuration concepts, interface definitions, and validation plans. Experience in applications or standardized solution development for pumps and fans, HVAC, compressors, cranes, conveyors, machine tools, or other industrial sectors is preferred.
  • Strong capability in systematic problem analysis and closure management. Ability to interpret measurements, operating trends, fault records, and test data, apply structured methods to identify root causes, and propose actionable improvements. Able to define data collection and test requirements during customer issue investigations and coordinate product, application, and service teams through corrective action and effectiveness verification. Experience in upgrades, energy-efficiency assessments, harmonic mitigation, functional safety, digital remote services, or inverter-fed low-voltage motors is preferred.
  • Excellent customer communication, requirement clarification, technical presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly, build alignment, manage expectations, and drive actions to closure. Good written and spoken Chinese and English, including the ability to independently read English technical documents and customer specifications, prepare technical proposals and analysis reports in English, and conduct technical discussions, solution presentations, and cross-regional collaboration in English.
