EchoStar’s Hughes Network Systems division seeks a Technical Support Specialist in Atlanta, GA to deliver frontline technical oversight for customer aircraft in-flight connectivity (IFC) systems.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview.

The position addresses critical operational challenges by diagnosing system faults, reviewing performance logs, and delivering rapid corrective action to maintain fleet reliability and regulatory compliance. Additionally, this role drives ongoing process improvements to reduce operational costs and enhance system efficiency for airline operations.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

  • Serve as the frontline technical point of contact to ensure seamless customer maintenance operations and rapid issue resolution
  • Establish and execute structured maintenance plans for active discrepancies using ticketing tools like ServiceNow
  • Analyze technical performance data, system logs, and schematics to diagnose complex faults with speed and precision
  • Ensure all troubleshooting and repair guidance fully complies with federal regulatory guidelines
  • Leverage AI tools to analyze system diagnostic logs, streamline ticket management, and predict recurring technical faults
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to implement system enhancements and optimize fleet performance

  • High resilience and conflict-resolution capabilities when handling high-pressure technical situations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, ServiceNow, and technical software tools

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Two-year degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of relevant work experience and certifications
  • Minimum Experience: 2 years of experience in In-Flight Connectivity (IFC), SATCOM, or Avionics systems servicing
  • Required Technical Skills:
    • In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) or SATCOM system troubleshooting
    • Reading and interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
    • Diagnostics using system logs, performance metrics, and ticketing systems like ServiceNow
    • Flexibility to work flexible shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) for 24/7 technical support coverage

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $59,500.00/Year - $85,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
