About the Role

We are looking for a technical support engineer in Hamburg. In this role, you’ll support Squish product users, reproduce problems, and provide effective solutions. Collaborating with colleagues and developers to address technical issues, file bug reports, and contribute to documentation updates. You will have an impact on process improvement and customer satisfaction.

You will

  • Help users of the Squish products (GUI automation/testing, code coverage, reporting) via a text/email-based support system, answer their questions, investigate/reproduce problems, find and suggest workarounds and solutions
  • Discuss technical topics and reported issues with team colleagues and product software developers; typically, in our text-based chat/communication system, file internal bug reports on behalf of users
  • Contribute to internal and external documentation in the form of change requests for documentation, and by creating/updating internal/external knowledge base articles.
  • Contribute to our continuous quest to improve our work-related processes.

About you

  • Experience with writing GUI applications, with software development and related tools/processes (version control, code review, bug ticketing, CI/CD)
  • Affinity with modern IT and technology
  • Continuous, self-motivated learning approach
  • Firm, technical experience with Linux, macOS or Windows, like use of command line shells, shell/batch scripts, PowerShell, WSH
  • Good experience with a common scripting language (JavaScript, Python, or similar)
  • Advanced English communication skills both verbal and written (English is our corporate language)

  • Desire to understand modern software and all problems surrounding their use
  • Hands-on experience with common tools like Git, Jenkins, or similar
  • Experience in any kind of customer service
