Technical Support Data Analytics/Productivity Engineer
Job Description :
•Perform high value data analytics of BU specific semi-conductor products to support integration of process equipment into our customers Fabs.
•Drive data projects that support development and high-volume manufacturing engineering organizations such as early tool or chamber matching data correlations, performance gap analysis, and TEL overall equipment efficiency (productivity) improvement.
•Provide next-line support of diagnostic systems for the Technical Support Team to expedite resolution pathways.
Responsibilities:
•Provides technical support to remote engineers and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems.
•Develops new analytic tools for remote engineers and product support personnel with support from cross-BU data engineering team.
•Supports improvement projects realized from data deep dive and analysis.
•Responds to situations where first-line remote personnel require assistance with ad hoc analysis or help in diagnosing problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
•Maintains communication regarding technical support activities through meetings, reports, documentation or other means as required.
•Responsible for early detection of systemic system design, reliability, and maintenance problems, utilizing data analysis techniques, including statistical methods.
•May be involved in customer installation and training of data system infrastructure.
•Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.
•Provides technical information and assistance regarding new systems or changes/modifications to existing systems.
•Remains current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials.
•Assists internal sales and marketing staff, as well as customers, to identify new standards, processes, manufacturing techniques, and new technologies in order to direct factory on future market requirements.
•Actively participates in availability, utilization, PM reduction, BKM generation projects and safety issues which will positively affect the overall TEL quality and uptime metrics.
•Remain current Semi-Standards related to production capabilities of equipment such as e-10 and their relations to equipment states.
•Knowledge of TEL’s data networking systems and application suites.
Skills:
•TEL BU specific equipment, process, and manufacturing knowledge
•Experience working in Data Science, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering.
•Demonstrated proficiency/willingness to learn Python, DataFrames, SQL, dashboard creation, BI platforms (e.g.PowerBI, Spotfire).
•Ability to clearly communicate data stories to stakeholders.
•Willingness to work with low-code analytics platform (Knime).
Typical Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of related experience or Master's Degree without experience.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without Sponsorship.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
