JOB OVERVIEW

As a Technical Support and Data Operations Engineer, you will work closely with a Sydney-based Support Engineer and the broader Data Engineering team.
These Manila-based roles will cover afternoon to early morning shifts aligned with Asia-Pacific and European time zones, providing critical support to internal teams and global customers.
This hybrid position combines first-line technical support with hands-on data operations — ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to develop their skills in a dynamic, high-impact environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical Support (20–30%)
    • Monitor and respond to incoming support tickets via HelpScout and internal alerts. 
    • Prioritise and triage technical issues, escalating where necessary
    • Troubleshoot application errors across our tech stack (HelpScout, Freshdesk, Snowflake SQL, Alteryx)
    • Maintain daily health checks across key applications and scripts
    • Proactively manage and document technical support processes
    • Work with the team to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
  • Data Operations & Quality (70–80%)
    • Support data engineers on product matching, data cleansing, data entry and QA tasks
    • Perform structured reviews and checks on retail pricing and product datasets
    • Assist in managing our large-scale product and price data workflows
    • Contribute to improving data accuracy and overall process efficiency


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Level 1/2 IT support or technical/data operation
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with or willingness to learn tools like SQL (Snowflake), Alteryx, and Tableau
  • Experience with help desk or incident management software (we use Helpscout and Freshdesk)
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication
  • Proactive, customer-focused attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a global team
  • Experience collaborating across time zones and remote teams
    • Bonus Skills
      • Hands-on experience writing SQL queries
      • Exposure to cloud environments like Google Cloud Platform
      • Experience automating manual tasks using scripting tools or ETL platforms
      • Previous work supporting retail or eCommerce data
