🌟 Your Impact at Lila

Lila Sciences is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Technical Success Lead to drive critical automation initiatives in the life sciences space. Reporting directly to the Director of Automation, this role combines deep laboratory automation expertise, workflow optimization, and technical leadership to ensure the successful execution of complex biological research operations. 

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging scientific and automation teams, optimizing high-throughput processes, and implementing scalable solutions within a fast-paced environment. 🛠️ What You'll Be Building

  • Coordinate implementation of complex automated workflows across multiple teams and platforms using JIRA 
  • Drive efficient execution of automation projects by managing technical dependencies and resource allocation 
  • Lead cross-functional coordination between scientific teams, automation engineers, and stakeholders 
  • Manage timelines and resources for method development and validation of automated biological assays 
  • Streamline communication and track progress of technical initiatives across teams 
  • Apply technical expertise to identify workflow bottlenecks and coordinate optimization efforts 
  • Guide resource allocation and scheduling for automated liquid handling platforms and integrated systems 
  • Facilitate technical discussions and coordinate resolution of complex automation challenges 
  • Drive standardization of workflow documentation and technical communication 
  • Coordinate training and knowledge transfer for new automation methods 
  • Manage timeline dependencies between multiple automation projects while maintaining technical quality 
  • Track and report on automation project progress and resource utilization 

🧰 What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • MS/PhD in Biology, Bioengineering, or related field with 7+ years of laboratory automation experience 
  • Deep technical knowledge of automated liquid handling platforms (Hamilton, Dynamic Devices Lynx, Agilent Bravo) and system integration 
  • Strong background in laboratory scheduling software (Green Button Go, Cellario, Overlord) 
  • Experience coordinating complex technical projects and managing competing priorities 
  • Demonstrated success using JIRA for project tracking and dependency management 
  • Expert understanding of automated methods for biological workflows 
  • Experience coordinating technical teams and managing stakeholder communication 
  • Familiarity with Python or other programming languages used in laboratory automation 
  • Outstanding communication and coordination skills 
  • Proven ability to translate technical requirements into actionable project plans 
  • Outstanding communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts across different audiences
