Job Description:

As a Technical Staff Software Engineer specializing in machine learning, you will play a pivotal role in improving our yields related to inline defects, map and probe test results, and creating correlations with failure analysis results. You will leverage your expertise in software engineering and machine learning to develop and implement advanced algorithms and models that drive significant improvements in our manufacturing processes.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 12.5+ years of experience.
  • Proven experience in software engineering with a focus on machine learning applications.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistical methods.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, inline defect analysis, and failure analysis is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement machine learning models to analyze and improve yields related to inline defects, map and probe test results.
  • Create and maintain robust data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze large datasets from various sources.
  • Develop algorithms to identify patterns and correlations between inline defects, test results and failure analysis outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, hardware engineers, and quality assurance, to integrate machine learning solutions into our production environment.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of machine learning models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of deployed models to adapt to changing conditions and improve yield outcomes.
  • Document and present findings, methodologies, and results to stakeholders and team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, software engineering, and manufacturing technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
  • Experience with front-end technologies and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
