Job Description!
The Technical Specialist will build strong relationships with key internal and external partners and support customers of the Standards business, with a primary focus in the 3rd Party Instrumentation, Reference Materials and Analytical Standards product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel domestically and internationally to customer sites to install, maintain, and fix Fusion equipment, machinery and/or systems.
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment and systems.
- Developing and improving maintenance procedures
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, either on-site or remotely.
- Provide comprehensive customer support, including effective communication with customers to address their needs and concerns promptly.
- Deliver training sessions to customers or end-users on proper equipment usage and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports, maintenance logs and inventory records.
- Create Service agreements by base of customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment during travel and on-site visits.
- Offer remote support to customers via phone, email, or remote desktop software as needed.
- Stay updates on industry trends and advancements through continuous learning and professional development activities.
- Record all activities (visits, opportunities, reports, etc.) on Sale Force

- Able to read and interpret documents such as RFQs, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Qualifications
- B.S. or equivalent experience in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biology, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience: A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering is a requirement
- proven experience in supporting technical products used in research laboratories and experience in instrumentation engineering (Sample preparation, XRF and/or Fusion techniques).
- Experience with customer relationship management platforms, such as Sales Force and Desk. Expertise in Microsoft Office products is a plus
- English fluency. Fluency or proficiency in other languages are a significant advantage
- Travel within EMEA especially Africa

- Years of Experience: Typically, demonstrated ability in instrumentation engineering (Sample preparation, XRF and/or Fusion techniques)
