We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Technical Specialist - Training Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. This role involves developing and delivering training programs to enhance community resilience and prepare stakeholders for effective disaster risk reduction and management.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of various community stakeholders, including local governments, organizations, and residents.
  • Deliver engaging and effective training sessions, workshops, and seminars both in-person and virtually.
  • Develop and update training curricula, materials, and resources to ensure they are current, relevant, and aligned with program objectives.
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps in knowledge and skills among community stakeholders and tailor training programs accordingly.
  • Develop evaluation tools and processes to assess the effectiveness of training programs and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams, including planners, engineers, and community engagement specialists, to ensure training programs are integrated with broader project goals.
  • Engage with community stakeholders to promote training opportunities and encourage participation.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and program outcomes.
  • Ensure all training activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and standards.

Must have experience and be an expert with PCs, MS Office, Adobe, Google Mail, Citrix Sharefile (or other online platforms), and online meeting platforms such as Google Meet and Zoom

Education:

  • BA/BS degree in a related field required (for example, Education, Industrial Design, Emergency Management, or a related field)
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in training development and delivery, preferably in context of disaster risk reduction or community resilience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required



Work Environment: This position is open to candidates nationwide and is remote with site work as required by customer.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $59,000-130,000/year. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. SRE considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Additionally, SRE adheres to all state and federal requirements regarding salary to ensure compliance with applicable labor laws. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of SRE’s total compensation package for employees.
