Job Title: Network Engineer L3 (ACI & SD-WAN Specialist)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L3 Network Engineer to join our Network Operations and Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Cisco ACI, Versa SD-WAN, enterprise Routing & Switching, and network troubleshooting. The role requires providing Level 3 support, designing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining complex enterprise network infrastructures while ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations & Support
- Provide Level 3 support for enterprise network infrastructure and critical incidents.
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex network issues.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring problems.
- Lead major incident resolution and problem management activities.
Cisco ACI Administration
- Design, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco ACI environments.
- Manage ACI Fabric, Tenant configurations, VRFs, Bridge Domains, EPGs, Contracts, and L3Outs.
- Perform firmware upgrades and maintenance activities within ACI environments.
Versa SD-WAN Management
- Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Versa SD-WAN infrastructure.
- Manage Controllers, Director, Analytics, and Edge devices.
- Implement application-aware routing, segmentation, and security policies.
- Support WAN optimization and network transformation initiatives.
Routing & Switching
- Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network technologies.
- Manage enterprise routing protocols including:
- BGP
- OSPF
- EIGRP
- IS-IS (preferred)
- Configure and support switching technologies:
- VLANs
- STP/RSTP/MST
- EtherChannel/LACP
- VPC
- HSRP/VRRP
- VXLAN (preferred)
- Perform network capacity planning and optimization.
Network Security & Compliance
- Work closely with security teams to implement network security controls.
- Support access control, segmentation, and secure network designs.
- Ensure adherence to organizational and industry standards.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Prepare and maintain network diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation.
- Participate in architecture reviews and network design discussions.
- Mentor L1 and L2 engineers and provide technical guidance.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise networking.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Cisco CCNP Enterprise
- Cisco CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure (Preferred)
