Technical Specialist – Emerging Tech (Construction)
Technical Specialists (TSs) are integral to the success of Autodesk's Emerging Tech business for Construction. Coming from the AECO industry and/or having worked in the AECO technology industry, you’ll utilise your experience to solve everyday customer challenges while responsibly positioning both established and emerging Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) capabilities. You will engineer value-driven solutions that help customers achieve desired outcomes, ensure adoption readiness, and reduce technical and delivery risk as we continue to grow the business.
You’ll be part of a larger, in-demand and fun-loving Pre-Sales team focused on positioning and utilising the ACC platform across a range of customer digital maturity levels. Success in this role is defined by the ability to qualify opportunities effectively, validate technical fit, support technical evaluation with clear success criteria, and enable both internal teams and partners to scale solutions responsibly.
You’ll report into the Technical Solutions Manager, EMEA.
Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this opportunity (but we sponsor the visa process).
We therefore encourage applications from candidates who are currently based in the UAE.
Main Responsibilities

Engage with partners in hybrid Autodesk-led and partner-led engagement models, supporting enablement, alignment, and consistent technical execution.
Influence the Product Roadmap by sharing structured customer feedback, validation outcomes, and business impact insights, working closely with relevant internal teams.
Participate in strategic speaking engagements at internal and external events, working in collaboration with Marketing, Channel, and Enablement teams.
Contribute to mentorship, onboarding, and enablement of new hires, and support the ongoing up-skilling of the wider technical pre-sales community.
Value & Solution Engineering
Lead customer discovery conversations to understand business and technical processes, workflows, requirements, and readiness, establishing trusted advisor relationships that support customers’ digital transformation journeys.
Translate customer needs into solution hypotheses, technical requirements, and clear next steps to support qualification and validation.
Manage the end-to-end technical evaluation lifecycle, from qualification through to post-sales handover, including value-focused demonstrations, pilots, RFP submissions, roadmap presentations, and customer outcome proposals.
Support pilot and proof-of-value engagements by defining success criteria, documenting outcomes, and identifying technical, adoption, or readiness risks.
Contribute technical inputs into business cases, proposals, and opportunity documentation, ensuring alignment between customer value, technical feasibility, and commercial outcomes.
Document customer engagements in Salesforce, capturing quantifiable pain points, technical decision criteria, validation assumptions, metrics, risks, outcomes and next steps.
Personal & Results Leadership
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the AECO industry, Autodesk solutions, emerging technologies, and broader technology trends to provide insight and guidance that supports responsible solution positioning.
Share best practices, competitive insights, innovation learnings, success stories, and lessons learned with the broader team to continuously improve execution quality.
Establish and maintain industry credibility through strong domain expertise, understanding of industry practices, business processes, applications, and the evolving technology landscape.
Actively build personal and Autodesk brand presence through professional networks and social platforms to establish credibility and promote Autodesk solutions.
