Under the administrative direction of the Laboratory Administrative Director and/or Assistant Laboratory Director, the Technical Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, monitoring, and facilitating quality assurance activities for all Point of Care Services to assure compliance with regulatory requirements. The position ensures safe laboratory practices, adherence to procedures, and competency of staff, while supporting operational efficiency.
QualificationsEducation/Certification:
Associate in Science degree in medical laboratory science or Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science (medical technology), one of the specialty areas, or one of chemical or biological sciences. ASCP certified or eligible as a medical laboratory scientist or specialist in a specialty field. Current BLS certification.
Experience:
Three (3) to five (5) years of related laboratory experience as a medical technologist (medical laboratory scientist) preferred.
Skills Required
