Job Description Summary

Job Purpose
The Technological Solution Owner for Corporate functions Technology solutions will focus on designing / crafting detailed technical solutions for specific system components, such as user interfaces, business logic, and data services. Basic business knowledge about typical corporate functions in an enterprise like Legal, Compliance, Real Estate / Office and Facilities, Physical Security and Corporate Affairs etc. business areas will be highly desirable.
This role is critical for seamlessly integrating technologies across the Sandoz global landscape and managing the entire technology lifecycle through disciplined architectural design and robust implementation practices.
He/she will engage with key business teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications that developers can implement, ensuring designs meet functional and technical standards. This role works closely with last mile development teams to guide the detailed design process, solve technical issues, and refine software designs based on feedback.

Job Description

This role will focus on:

• Strategic Alignment: Ensuring that all technical solutions and innovations align with the company's long-term strategic goals and architecture standards. Developing detailed design documents and specifications.
• Technology Integration: Seamlessly integrating new and existing technology solutions into the global Legal & Compliance technology landscape to enhance operational efficiency and business agility.
• Collaboration: Working with developers to implement designs.
• Analysis: Conducting detailed analysis of business requirements.
• Review: Participating in design reviews.
• Knowledge Maintenance: Keeping up to date with technology standards and trends.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Building and maintaining strong partnerships with business leaders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure the solution supports broad organizational needs and facilitates effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Design - Develop detailed design documents and specifications for software components.
• Collaboration - Collaborate with developers to implement designs, ensuring adherence to architectural guidelines.
• Analysis - Conduct detailed analysis of business requirements to develop innovative and practical technical solutions.
• Review - Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on software implementations.
• Knowledge Maintenance - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Building and maintaining strong partnerships with business leaders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure the architecture supports broad organizational needs and facilitates effective decision-making.

Technical Design

• Create detailed design specifications for user interfaces, business logic, and data services.
• Document technical specifications for development teams.

Collaboration

• Work closely with developers to guide the implementation of designs.
• Ensure designs adhere to architectural guidelines and standards.

Analysis

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop innovative solutions to meet business needs.

Review

• Conduct and participate in design reviews.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve software designs.

Knowledge Maintenance

• Stay informed about the latest technology standards and industry trends.
• Apply new knowledge to improve design processes and solutions.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Organize workshops and meetings with key stakeholders to discuss and align on architectural changes and initiatives.
• Create communication channels and documentation to keep stakeholders informed about architectural decisions and their implications.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Languages:

• Fluent English required (oral and written)

Experience:

• 12+ years of overall experience with at least 8 years in software design and development.
• Experience with solutions Architecture, hosting, network and connectivity services.
• Strong understanding of user experience design and data engineering.
• Proven track record in developing detailed technical specifications
• Proficiency in business analysis and relationship management.
