At Kigen, we’re building the security technology that connects billions of IoT devices around the world. As our Technical Solutions Expert you’ll be the technical face of Kigen, working hand in hand with customers across Europe to turn complex challenges into deployed, revenue-generating solutions.
Partnering with our Sales, Product Management and Engineering teams, you’ll engage with customers at a deep technical level to drive adoption and accelerate the rollout of Kigen’s solutions. It’s a highly autonomous role for someone who loves solving real-world integration problems and enjoys being the trusted bridge between customers and engineering.
What you’ll do
- Build strong technical and business relationships with customers, supported by cross-functional Kigen teams.
- Articulate Kigen’s value proposition and guide customers through trials for eSIM, eIM and in-factory profile provisioning solutions.
- Capture and synthesise technical requirements into well-defined solutions — running viability assessments, scoping efforts and estimating projects.
- Oversee technical project delivery and lead responses to RFIs, RFPs and tender bids alongside Sales.
- Support customer integration of Kigen solutions, including reference designs for constrained devices.
- Act as the customer’s voice to our Product and Engineering teams — and Kigen’s voice to the customer on current and upcoming capabilities.
- Define acceptance testing, resolve technical queries and deliver advanced product training to customers.
What you’ll bring
- A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years in a technical, customer-facing role.
- Strong knowledge of smart card technologies and specifications (e.g. 3GPP, ETSI, Java Card, GlobalPlatform, GSMA, TCA), embedded systems and cellular modem integration using AT commands.
- Familiarity with SIM/eSIM compliance standards and regulations (e.g. GSMA SAS).
- An understanding of enterprise software architecture and SaaS models, ideally within IoT or telecom environments.
- Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills for a wide range of audiences.
- A highly organised, flexible and autonomous approach — a problem solver with a proactive, “can-do” mindset.
- Willingness to travel based on customer and project needs.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of SIM/eSIM file structures, personalisation, Java Card applets and profile lifecycle management.
- Deep understanding of cellular network standards (2G/3G/4G/5G, LTE-M, NB-IoT) and their interaction with UICC/eUICC.
- Experience working with OEMs to integrate SIM/eSIM solutions into connected devices (industrial, automotive, consumer electronics or IoT hardware).
- Knowledge of GSMA Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) for M2M, Consumer and IoT use cases.
- Hands-on experience with OTA platforms, device management tools and security protocols relevant to SIM/eSIM (e.g. SCP03, PKI).
- Proficiency with tools such as trace analyzers, profile design tools, APDU scripting, mobile simulators and LPAd.
