We are an Alphabet company bringing the promise of precision health to everyone, every day.
The Role
Who We Are

Verily is a subsidiary of Alphabet that is using a data-driven approach to change the way people manage their health and the way healthcare is delivered. Launched from Google X in 2015, our purpose is to bring the promise of precision health to everyone, every day. We are focused on generating and activating data from a variety of sources, including clinical, social, behavioral and the real world, to arrive at the best solutions for a person based on a comprehensive view of the evidence. Our unique expertise and capabilities in technology, data science and healthcare enable the entire healthcare ecosystem to drive better health outcomes.

Description

Verily’s Workbench software provides a secure collaborative environment for data generators, research and biopharma organizations to govern and analyze their data. The platform is part of Verily Viewpoint, an end-to-end suite of solutions that power the evidence generation needed to make safe, effective therapies available faster to those who need them.

Workbench incorporates technology and best practices developed through years of building data infrastructure for large research initiatives such as the National Institutes of Health’s All of Us Research Program, the Accelerating Medicines Partnership® Parkinson’s disease (AMP PD) program, and the Project Baseline Health Study. See the Intro to Workbench support documentation for a summary of features, integrations, and technical details.

The Workbench Solutions Engineering team engages with all levels of the biomedical research community, from the data stewards who want to share data to the research investigators and their technical teams who want to put data to work. We provide insights and best practices for organizing and managing access to data and work with data scientists to help accelerate their research. The Workbench team is impacting major projects, including NIH AllOfUs and AMP PD.
