ABS Global, a Genus company, has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Services Sr. Specialist (East Region, US) to provide technical services to strategic accounts in alignment with the ABS global strategy (specific focus on the Strategic Account Segment).
This role partners closely with commercial, genetic, and technical teams to improve customer performance, profitability, and long-term success. Success in this role requires strong dairy production knowledge, relationship-building skills, data analysis capabilities, and a passion for helping customers achieve operational excellence. Additionally, fluency in both English and Spanish is required, as this position regularly supports and collaborates with a diverse customer base and cross-functional teams across multiple regions.
This position is ideally based remotely in the East region of the United States, with travel approximately 50% within North America; travel may increase depending on business needs.
The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $120,000 USD. The salary provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. You WillPlanning and execution of the Technical Service (TS) program in the strategic segment:
- Planning and execution of Technical Service Strategy, in direct coordination with TAG Manager, Technical and Genetic teams, Global Strategic Account Director, and ABS commercial managers. This includes planning of visits and an activity calendar to serve strategic accounts assigned to the TS program.
- Identification of technical opportunities that optimize profitability of strategic customers and prospects.
- Implementation of technical solutions and training of farm employees and ABS personnel in dairy technical areas through the preparation and presentation of technical training materials and applied “hands-on” teaching/coaching.
- Monitoring of progress and impact of technical solutions and farm employee training implemented in each strategic account of the TS program.
- Prepare and present visit reports, performance summaries, and product validation data to strategic customers and ABS personnel involved in the management of strategic accounts.
- Maintenance of the Strategic Account list for financial validation.
- Participate actively in the Global SAM TAG team.
Technical communications and industry presence:
- Address direct technical questions and concerns from strategic customers, prospects and ABS personnel.
- Creation of technical communications of current relevant topics for publication on ABS internal and external channels.
- Collection and sharing of technical data relevant to the performance of our products in the field.
- Validation of technical tools to demonstrate account performance.
- Attendance to producer and/or professional meetings to update technical concepts and technologies relevant to our service offering.
Basic Qualifications (Required):
- Degree in Veterinary, Dairy, Animal Science or Agriculture related discipline.
- 3-5 years of applied technical experience in the areas of dairy reproductive management, genetics, calving and transition cow management, cow comfort, udder health and milk quality, calf and replacement management, basic dairy nutrition, dairy facilities, embryo transfer offering, and general herd health.
- Applied experience in training/coaching personnel.
- Applied experience in customer data analysis to validate our product and solution impact.
- Bilingual- Ability to read, write, and orally communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
- Ability to prepare reports and technical communications and presentations.
- Ability to transmit technical knowledge and train/coach personnel.
- Analytical capacity and knowledge of dairy management software (DC 305, BoviSync, PC Dart and other farm software).
- Knowledge of basic software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal relationships.
