We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled internal Technical Services Manager to act as a critical liaison between our Research & Development (R&D) and Sales teams. This role is responsible for translating complex technical product information into actionable insights, supporting sales initiatives, and ensuring seamless product support and customer process feedback.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical product management, excellent communication skills, and a strategic mindset to drive cross-functional collaboration between internal teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary internal contact for all technical matters related to product performance, features, and applications between Sales, R&D, and other internal stakeholders.
- Support Product Development: Work closely with R&D to provide market feedback, performance data, and customer insights that guide product development and refinement.
- Sales Enablement: Partner with the Sales and Marketing teams to support the development of technical sales tools, product training materials, FAQs, and application guides that help drive customer engagement and conversions.
- Product Launch Coordination: Collaborate on the development of go-to-market strategies, providing support for all technical documentation and internal teams are prepared for product release.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve product performance issues and technical customer concerns, escalating to R&D or Quality as needed.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze field data, customer feedback, and product usage to provide actionable insights and support continuous product improvement.
- Training & Development: Assist in providing technical training to Sales, Customer Support, and other relevant internal teams on new and existing products.
- Documentation Management: Assist in maintaining up-to-date technical documentation, including product specifications, troubleshooting guides, and test protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in a technical services, product management, or R&D support role within a manufacturing or high-tech industry.
- Strong understanding of customer finishing processes and customer-facing technical support.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Quality.
- Proven project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CRM and product line management (PLM) tools.
- Technical writing and documentation experience.
- Familiarity with regulatory and quality systems (e.g., ISO, FDA, GMP) if applicable to industry.
- Ability to travel occasionally to support customer site visits, product trials, or trade shows.
