This position reports to:
Sales Support Manager__
- Support Field Sales Engineers (FES) and Panel Builders (PBs) in the early project stage
- Influence sales projects through technical consultation and expertise
- Shape project specifications and requirements; draft project-based technical bulletins
- Support bidding and quotation processes
- Deepen ABB's integration into PB standard designs and supply chains
- Provide agile technical support, customized configurations, and dedicated solutions
- Increase share-of-business and customer stickiness through technical excellence
- Collaborate with PBs and engineering teams to co-design differentiated solutions for Grid Automation and Monitoring & Diagnostics (M&D)
- Serve as the bridge between front-end sales teams and back-end execution
- Expand cooperation scope from component sales to system solutions and services
- Build a mutually beneficial ecosystem centered on ABB technology
- Facilitate direct manufacturing unit (MU) linkage for seamless project execution
- Manage the regional project pipeline and provide forecast input to the MU for capacity planning
- Monitor project progress and maintain up-to-date pipeline status
- Handle non-standard solution applications and complex technical requirements; provide proposals to the Engineering team for custom solutions
- Conduct bidding analysis and competitive intelligence gathering; channel customer needs, technical trends, and competitor insights to the Product Management Team (PMT)
- Deliver regular training sessions to FES, partners, and customers
- Focus areas: products, solutions, ordering processes/tools, and execution best practices
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Power Systems, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in technical support, sales engineering, or application engineering within the electrical industry
- Experience with medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, or related components is preferred
- Familiarity with the OEM market and partner collaboration models
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles with strong presentation, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong knowledge of medium voltage electrical products and applications
- Proficiency in product configuration tools and ordering tools/processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (mechanical and electrical diagrams) and specifications
- Sound understanding of relevant electrical standards (IEC, GB, etc.)
- Competent in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and technical documentation
- Excellent customer communication and presentation skills
- Fluent in both written and spoken Chinese and English
- Strong customer orientation with the ability to build long-term relationships
- Agile mindset with quick learning ability and adaptability
- Collaborative team player with cross-functional experience
- Analytical thinker with a strong problem-solving mindset
- Self-motivated; able to work independently and perform under pressure
