Position Overview
Autodesk is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist – Design and Manufacturing to support growth across the region. Based in Bangalore, India, this customer-facing pre-sales role is ideal for a technically strong professional who can lead discovery, deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations, and help advance opportunities through technical closure.
In this role, you will work with customers across industries including industrial machinery, automotive, consumer products, fabrication, and advanced manufacturing. You will identify customer challenges, uncover whitespace opportunities, and align Autodesk Design and Manufacturing solutions to customer requirements and business outcomes. You will also collaborate closely with sales teams, partners, and internal stakeholders to support territory growth through strong technical engagement and solution-based selling.
Responsibilities
Lead high-impact customer discovery sessions to deeply understand business priorities, workflows, pain points, and transformation objectives
Engage customers through both joint and independent interactions—onsite and remote—to drive meaningful technical conversations
Build and sustain trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders by aaligning technology solutions to their business goals and operational challenges
Deliver compelling technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution workshops tailored to customer-specific use cases
Translate discovery insights into strong business cases, clearly articulating value, outcomes, and ROI
Partner closely with sales teams to shape deal strategy, strengthen qualification, and accelerate opportunity progression
Drive technical evaluations, solution validation, and proof-of-concepts to ensure alignment with customer requirements
Own the technical win by presenting clear value propositions, leveraging storytelling to influence decision-making across stakeholders
Apply deep expertise in Design and Manufacturing processes, industry trends, and emerging technologies to position Autodesk as a strategic, long-term partner
Identify and develop technical whitespace opportunities within accounts to drive expansion, cross-sell, and broader platform adoption
Establish credibility with both technical (engineering, manufacturing) and business (operations, leadership) stakeholders
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and partners to deliver seamless customer experience and drive business growth
Develop high-quality customer-facing assets, including solution narratives, demo strategies, and workshop outputs
Represent Autodesk as a trusted technical voice in customer engagements, partner ecosystems, and industry forums
Minimum Qualifications
Education: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a reputed institute
Experience:4+ years of experience in a customer-facing Presales/Technical Sales role., 5+ years of experience working in or with the Design & Manufacturing industry
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Autodesk solutions such as Inventor, Fusion, Vault, or Fusion Manage. Knowledge of comparable technology solutions from other SaaS/technology vendors (e.g., Siemens, Dassault, or PTC) is also valuable
