We are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist for our CMAX paint division located in Winnipeg. This position is based out of the NAPA Winnipeg headquarters and involves time on the road. It is not a role located at or operated from the CMAX retail store, and the store manager is not responsible for recruiting for this position.

Job Description

NAPA/CMAX stores offer paint products, equipment, and supplies for body repair, a complete system for aerosol paint mixing, and have expertise in color matching.

As a Technical Sales Specialist, you play a key role in the customer experience. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise to store employees and customers. Additionally, you will ensure the effective use of CMAX paint and body products and recommend best practices for preventive maintenance.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Provide routine and emergency technical support, color matching expertise, and product training tocollision shop customers and employees.
  • Support business development calls, actively participate in the conversion process of new customers, and gather market intelligence on competitive threats and trends.
  • Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Paint & Body preparation and detailing operations, and recommend best practices for preventive maintenance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store team members, customers and distribution centers

Qualifications

To join our team, you need:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Paint & Body
  • Sales and business development skills with good budget and analytical experience
