JOB SUMMARY

The Technical Services Representative is responsible for profiling hazardous waste and is the point of contact for disposal facilities.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Review analytical and waste classification for team members and customers.
  • Interface with disposal facilities to schedule and finalize the approval process.
  • Determine the proper Class I, II and III landfills to send hazardous waste.
  • Manage customers needs for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal, transportation and environmental field services.
  • Manage the logistics for the transportation of shipping hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Responsible for Inside Sales and technical support for waste disposal, transportation and environmental field services as needed for location(s).
  • Support the Industrial Sales Representatives in selling to customers.
  • Educate team members and customers on the local, state and federal regulations, including but not limited to RCRA and TSCA for waste approval to proper landfills.
  • Prepare quotes for transportation and disposal services.
  • Responsible for accounts payable and receivable for location(s).
  • Administers and maintains profiles, job log tracking, manifests, labels and land ban documentation.
  • May complete job walks for waste lab packing and consolidation as needed.
  • Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Experience profiling hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly responsive.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Continuous sitting and tasks involving repetitive motions using wrists, hands and fingers are required for periods of 6-8+ hours at a time.
  • Occasional walking or standing is required.
  • Occasional carrying of weights from 0-25 pounds may be required.
  • This job primarily operates in an office environment.
  • May conduct job walks in the field.

Salary Range: $77,000 - $90,000 Annually
