For our office in Sesto San Giovanni (Milan), Italy, we are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to provide technical sales support and prepare customized quotations for industrial valves and related products serving a diverse customer base, including End Users, EPC contractors, and OEMs operating in the industrial and process plant sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical sales support for highly customized, value-added industrial valves and related products to End Users, EPC contractors, and OEM customers within industrial and process plant sectors.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to prepare technical and commercial quotations aligned with customer requirements.
  • Review and follow up on quotations, monitor delivery requirements, and manage related technical documentation.
  • Support the achievement of sales targets and profitability objectives through proactive commercial and technical contributions.
  • Provide technical advice and customer support, helping clients identify the most suitable solutions for their operational needs.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Valmet’s global network to ensure effective and coordinated customer support.

Requirements

  • Preferred qualifications include a technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in technical sales, sales support, application engineering, proposal engineering, inside sales, or similar technical-commercial roles is preferred.
  • Good command of Italian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience within the industrial instrumentation, valves, flow control, process automation, or process industries sector is considered a plus.

We offer a gross base salary ranging from €31,000 to €41,000 per year.

The selected candidate will be hired under the National Collective Agreement (CCNL) applied by Valmet Italy for Employees of the Metalworking Industry and Plant Installation Sector (Addetti all’Industria Metalmeccanica e dell’Installazione di Impianti).
