We are recruiting a Technical Engineer to support cold chain and refrigeration customers across Germany. This role is focused on refrigeration applications and requires strong technical understanding of cooling systems used within commercial and industrial cold chain environments.

The successful candidate will provide expert technical guidance to customers while supporting product application, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing technical development activities.

Key responsibilities of the role
  • Serve as the primary technical interface between OEM R&D teams and internal engineering teams during new product development projects

  • Provide technical support during specification, design, and refrigeration system selection activities

  • Support customers with cold chain and refrigeration application expertise

  • Deliver technical product demonstrations and support technical discussions during the sales process

  • Provide remote and onsite technical support throughout the product lifecycle

  • Assist with implementation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of refrigeration systems

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation supporting field applications

  • Support strategic and high-profile customer accounts through regular engagement and site visits

  • Monitor industry trends, refrigeration regulations, and emerging technologies

  • Collaborate with internal Technical Sales Engineers to exchange technical knowledge and field experience

  • For senior-level profiles, support account planning and identify commercial growth opportunities

Required skills and qualifications
  • Experience within refrigeration, cold chain, or commercial cooling applications

  • Strong understanding of refrigeration system applications and customer integration requirements

  • Experience supporting OEMs, contractors, or end users within the refrigeration market

  • Strong technical problem-solving and customer-facing communication skills

  • Ability to provide both remote and onsite customer support

Preferred skills and qualifications
  • Knowledge of CO₂ refrigeration systems is highly desirable

  • Previous experience as an Application Engineer or Technical Sales Engineer

  • Experience supporting key or strategic customer accounts

  • Strong autonomy and ability to work independently in a field-based role

  • Existing knowledge of the European cold chain or refrigeration market

This role is based in Aachen, Germany, with a hybrid working model that combines collaboration in the office with the flexibility of remote work. For the right candidate we would considering a fully remote contract.
