Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is looking for a Technical Sales & Business Development Manager – Energy Solutions.
As our new Technical Sales & Business Development Manager (TSBDM) you will develop and grow existing sales and optimize the profit of our Energy Solutions. You will hunt for new business and actively seek new sales opportunities by aligning customer needs with product solutions. You shall utilize your knowledge and know-how of respective products to assist customers in getting the most value, including key selling points, technical sales process, dealing with advanced technical questions, and deal closing.

What you will work on:

Drive profitable sales growth for current and new customers within the product portfolio

Prioritize target lists, and follow through with the respective activity required to close deals, demonstrating a best practice technical sales approach

Collaborate with our cross-functional team to assess customers' fleet emissions, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend low-carbon technologies, alternative fuel treatments, and energy-saving retrofits.

Support on Projects: Occasionally be assigned to time-bound WSS initiatives and venture projects

Ensure opportunity progression in sales pipeline and conversion to account sales

Secure strong focus and follow-up on NBI and DD opportunities in the pipeline.

Proactively utilize the available sales tools to identify areas of growth for assigned product portfolio

Foster strong relationships with the customers through high quality and frequent customer face to face meetings.

Hold the highest level of technical and practical understanding of assigned SPG’s within the sales org. and apply this competency for commercial and customer-facing purposes

Ensure accurate and updated information is inputted into the WSS CRM system including visit reports, opportunities, deals etc.
What you need to succeed in the role:
-
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marine Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Naval Architecture, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferably, experience in international technical sales or similar roles.

Maritime engineering experience, such as sailing or onshore operations, is a plus.

Results-driven with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Strong negotiation skills and experience dealing directly with customers.
-
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships effectively.
-
Self-motivated and capable of planning and organizing work independently.
-
Ambitious with a commercial mindset and a strong drive for success.

Proficient in IT tools, including Excel, MS Office, CRM systems, and other digital platforms.

Highly organized with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
