We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Technical Sales Account Manager to help accelerate our growth by developing new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and delivering solutions that create measurable value. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for selling RoboTape standard units, standard cells, and Lite systems while supporting customers throughout the sales journey. This role combines technical sales, business development, solution quoting, and ongoing customer engagement. The ideal candidate has experience in automation, manufacturing, robotics, and/or industrial equipment sales and enjoys working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. 

What You'll Do 

Sales & Business Development 

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers across key industrial markets. 
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation, networking, industry events, trade shows, and marketing campaigns. 
  • Understand customer processes, challenges, and business objectives to recommend the most effective RoboTape solution. 
  • Deliver compelling presentations, product demonstrations, and technical discussions highlighting the value and competitive advantages of RoboTape technology. 
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through proposal development, negotiation, and order closure. 
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting on opportunities, bookings, and revenue. 
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging markets to identify opportunities for growth and market expansion. 
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events 

Solution Development & Quoting 

  • Collaborate with customers to define project requirements and application needs. 
  • Attend customer siteto evaluate opportunities and present RoboTape solutions. 
  • Prepare detailed quotations, proposals, and supporting technical documentation. 
  • Work closely with VP and team to develop accurate scope, pricing, schedules, and system configurations. 
  • Utilize historical project data and costing information to ensure competitive and profitable proposals. 
  • Support contract review and negotiation processes to establish mutually beneficial agreements. 

Customer Success & Project Support 

  • Partner with Operations and Project Management teams to facilitate successful project handoffs. 
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings and support the review of project deliverables, timelines, and customer expectations. 
  • Serve as a key liaison between customers and internal teams throughout project execution, installation, and startup. 
  • Support customers with technical questions and solution clarification throughout the sales and implementation process. 
  • Foster long-term customer relationships that drive repeat business and future expansion opportunities. 

Marketing & Market Development 

  • Gather and document customer feedback to support ongoing product development and innovation. 
  • Identify emerging applications, industries, and markets that align with Robo Tape products and solutions. 
  • Support marketing initiatives, case studies, educational content, trade shows, and product demonstrations. 
  • Represent Robo Tape at industry events, conferences, and customer-facing activities. 

Administration & Continuous Improvement 

  • Maintain CRM records, customer communications, opportunity tracking, and sales forecasts. 
  • Participate in regular sales reviews and strategy meetings. 
  • Support ISO (Quality, Safety & IT) related processes and documentation requirements as needed. 
  • Contribute to sales process improvements and best practices that enhance customer experience and business performance. 

What You'll Bring 

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Technology, or equivalent industry experience. 
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales, automation, robotics, manufacturing, or industrial equipment solutions. 
  • Proven success developing new business and achieving sales growth targets. 
  • Strong understanding of automation systems, robotics, manufacturing processes, and industrial applications. 
  • Experience interpreting technical requirements and developing customer-focused solutions. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. 
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations, trade shows, and industry events as required (must be legally able to travel globally).

Skills Required
