Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Safety & Environmental Specialist for our offshore wind project to ensure robust HSE practices in design engineering for HVDC/HVAC, transmission systems, and substations. You will lead safety analyses, risk assessments (HAZID, HAZOP, DRAs), and compliance checks while mentoring junior engineers. Reporting to the Head of HSEQ Offshore, you’ll develop HSE strategies and collaborate with project teams to uphold safety and environmental standards. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!

You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by: 

  • Providing overall expertise and solutions for the technical safety discipline throughout concept studies, project development, execution phase, maintenance, and operation
  • Establishing the HSE Design strategy for HVDC/HVAC, transmission, onshore, and offshore substations
  • Improving, developing, and managing technical safety expertise across systems, tasks, and HVDC/HVAC, transmission, onshore, and offshore substation assets
  • Collaborating with certification and verification agencies to drive the standardization of HVDC/HVAC, transmission, onshore, and offshore substation assets
  • Preparing technical safety and environmental reports and deliverables as required
  • Supporting and challenging development projects and operations to enhance performance, quality, and technology utilization for cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree in Engineering, Safety Engineering, or related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in offshore wind development projects, oil and gas or shipping related fields
  • Proficient with ISO45000 & ISO14000 series
  • Background in offshore wind development projects, oil and gas, or shipping-related fields
  • Expertise or qualifications in Functional Safety
