Role description
Adyen is looking for a Technical Regulatory & Security Specialist to join the Technology Risk and Regulatory Team within the Platform Engineering group.
The Platform Engineering group enables our internal engineering teams to quickly and autonomously build products for our customers, at massive scale and speed. As part of this role, you are responsible for ensuring that our products and services comply with relevant regulations and laws in APAC (with a particular focus on India).
You actively engage, bring together, and communicate with people from various teams to be successful in ensuring continued compliance of products and services.
What you’ll do:
- Staying up-to-date on relevant APAC related laws and regulations and ensuring that Adyen’s products and services comply with them.
- Working closely with other global internal teams, such as product development, regulatory and security teams, to develop and implement regulatory requirements in products, services and business processes.
- Representing the company in technology related discussions with APAC regulators and manage requests from regulators and auditors to ensure successful audit cycles/certifications (e.g. RBI audits, system audits (SAR), ISO Audits, PCI-DSS, SOC 1 & 2 audits)
- Ensuring processes such as incident management, business continuity management comply with regulatory requirements and technology risks are mitigated
- Conducting research and providing guidance on implementation of technology related regulatory requirements specific to APAC to executives and board members.
- Preparing and submitting regulatory filings and reports.
- Maintaining a strong working knowledge of relevant regulations and relevant best-practices, and providing guidance to the business on how to comply with them.
- Ownership of technology and security metrics in steering committees
- Adopting and preparing tech and security policies and procedures as required.
- Controls ownership and implementation of controls.
What you need to succeed:
- A strong understanding of APAC financial and technical regulations and laws.
- Experience working in a technology and regulatory role, preferably within a financial services and/or technical environment.
- Affinity and some hands-on experience with engineering and the ability to understand complex financial products and services.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously that may span across teams and time zones.
- A structured, proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Who you are:
- A minimum of 3+ years of relevant working experience as a technology auditor/advisor or within a cyber security role for a bank/financial institution/ capital markets/
- Experience with implementing regulatory requirements within IT/cybersecurity domains in a technology environment for a fintech/bank
- You have experience communicating complex technical and non-technical information in an understandable way to a wide audience, including internal and external teams
- You are detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently
- You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with others and contributing to the success of the business
