The Role
Belvedere Trading is a leading proprietary trading firm proudly headquartered in downtown Chicago. Our traders work hard to provide liquidity to the market through their market-making activities and are the masters of a diverse set of commodities, interest rates, exchange-traded funds (ETF), and equity index options. We’re on the lookout for a Technical Recruiter who’s energized by fast-paced environments, excited to help build high-performing technical teams, and ready to make a real impact from day one. In this role, you’ll help drive the growth of key areas like software engineering, machine learning, and data engineering, the teams that power our tech strategy and fuel our competitive edge. 

As a Technical Recruiter, you won’t just fill roles, you’ll play a strategic part in shaping the future of our tech talent by sourcing passive and hard to engage talent, think opportunistically, and pipeline for some of our core engines of innovation and performance at Belvedere. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers, collaborate across teams, and gain deep exposure to our trading and technology ecosystem. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on ownership, loves solving complex hiring challenges, and is eager to keep learning and growing. 

What you'll do

  • Partner with data, engineering execution, and research and development technical teams to understand hiring needs and develop tailored sourcing strategies that align with team goals and broader business priorities. 
  • Engage and attract top-tier technical talent from inside and outside the industry. 
  • Build and nurture pipelines for roles critical to Belvedere’s long-term success, maintaining engagement with high-potential candidates and market influencers. 
  • Navigate complex recruiting scenarios (non-competes, garden leave, visa processes) with discretion, creativity, and compliance awareness. 
  • Foster collaboration across internal teams (People Ops, Legal, DEI, and leadership) to deliver a consistently thoughtful and engaging candidate experience. 
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies providing data-driven strategies to influence recruiting direction. 
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing Belvedere at industry events and building strong relationships with external networks and trading communities.  
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide a positive candidate experience, reflecting Belvedere’s core values.   
  • Continuously improve hiring processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and alignment with the firm’s strategic priorities. 

What you'll need

  • 2+ years proven experience providing full cycle recruiting processes for technical roles in a corporate or agency recruitment setting. 
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing and engaging hard-to-find talent in highly competitive markets. 
  • Experience navigating complex hiring challenges, including non-compete agreements, garden leave requirements, and visa sponsorship processes.  
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a consultative approach to partnering with senior leaders and trading desks.  
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in afast-paced environment.  
  • Proficiency with recruitment tools, ATS platforms (preferably Lever), and advanced sourcing techniques.  
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Work Schedule: Regular and reliable attendance during standard business hours.  
Occasional nights and weekends. 
Amount of Travel Required:  Travel may occasionally be required for off-site events, conferences, or job fairs, depending on the needs of the role.
Physical: Ability to sit and concentrate for long periods of time as well as the ability to lift 30 pounds
