Technical Proposal Writer
Salary: $50 - $70k
Location: Remote
Sabot Consulting is seeking a dedicated Proposal Writer to join our team. The Proposal Writer will be responsible for developing and writing compelling proposals in response to government bidding opportunities. This includes understanding the bid RFO requirements, designing the proposal structure, and creating persuasive content to convince the prospective end client.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and analyze request for proposals (RFPs), request for quotations (RFQs), and invitation for bids (IFBs).
- Conduct thorough research to gather all relevant information about the proposal subject.
- Using historical RFO/RFP’s to help build interesting and compelling proposals to achieve business objectives.
- Develop and organize new proposals in accordance with the company’s growth strategy and compliance with the client’s requirements guidelines.
- Write, revise, and edit drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials.
- Work with the team to ensure the timely submission of proposals.
- Coordinate with leadership on graphic design to incorporate necessary visuals in the proposal.
- Keep updated on industry trends to effectively address potential client concerns or questions.
- Participate in presentations or discussions with clients when required.
- Maintain and manage a library of proposal content for future use.
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, communications, English, or related field.
- 5 years of previous experience in proposal writing.
- Strong understanding of proposal development and excellent research skills.
- Ability to turn complex information into clear and compelling narratives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet prompt deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
