We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Proposal Writer to support our RFP (Request for Proposal) team. This role is responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining high-quality, client-facing proposal content that effectively communicates our value and capabilities. The ideal candidate is a strong writer who can work cross-functionally, manage multiple projects at once, and contribute to a fast-paced, deadline-driven team. You will also play a key role in managing our content library within our proposal management platform (Responsive, formerly RFPIO) and leveraging AI tools to help scale our RFP content operations.

What you'll do here:

• Draft clear, compelling, and accurate responses to RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, and other client requests.

• Translate technical, operational, or legal input into persuasive, audience-appropriate language.

• Tailor existing content to reflect the specific needs and goals of each proposal.

• Maintain and optimize content within our RFP software platform (Responsive).

• Tag, categorize, and update reusable content for accuracy, relevance, and accessibility.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure all content reflects current offerings and company standards.

• Use approved AI tools to assist with content creation, editing, and scaling.

• Help develop templates, content snippets, and style guides to ensure consistency and efficiency across responses.

• Work closely with the Manager of RFP Submissions, proposal writers, contract managers, sales, marketing, and legal teams.

• Participate in content reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and process improvement efforts.

Skills you will need here:

• 2-5 years of professional writing experience (proposal writing, technical writing, marketing copywriting, or journalism).

• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to tone and detail.

• Experience managing content in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and writing tools.

• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:

• Experience using proposal management platforms (especially Responsive).

• Familiarity with B2B, publishing, media, or education industries.

• Experience using AI-assisted writing tools.

• Understanding of APMP best practices (certification is a plus but not required).

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location.  Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
