Responsibilities:
Direct the end-to-end integration of diagnostic builds into customer environments to ensure seamless workflows between Electronic Medical Records systems (EMRs) systems.
Manage the full project lifecycle for EMR integration initiatives from initial kick-off through testing and final validation phases. These initiatives will include a varied set of customer EMRs such as Epic, Cerner, OncoEMR, and NextGen.
Serve as the primary technical liaison between internal engineering teams and customer side Project Managers to resolve blockers and ensure high-quality data delivery.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project timelines for multiple concurrent initiatives within the partnership pipeline to ensure all milestones are met.
Act as a technical consultant to translate complex customer needs into actionable project plans, prioritizing technical execution over traditional administrative tasks.
Coordinate cross-functionally with Epic-certified analysts, technical teams, and client stakeholders to align internal operational resources with partnership goals.
Facilitate regular communication through status reports, escalation calls, and stakeholder meetings to provide visibility into project dependencies and risks.
Drive process optimization by continually evolving project workflows and maintaining meticulous documentation, including mapping sheets and change logs.
Partner with engineering and product teams to create and enhance software applications that support internal operations and large-scale product delivery.
Leverage specialized health-tech expertise and clinical data knowledge to navigate fast-paced, iterative environments involving pharmaceutical-grade data projects.
Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring that all integrated solutions directly address the strategic goals of the client partnership.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience managing large-scale, highly integrated projects, preferably within reference laboratory or health system environments.
Experience in navigating and configuring EMR systems as an end user and/or as a build analyst.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and overseeing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in fast-paced, iterative settings.
Strong technical aptitude with working knowledge of EMR workflows and project reporting tools such as Smartsheet and Jira.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Highly organized and systematic approach with a meticulous attention to detail and a focus on process improvement.
Demonstrated ability to maintain high performance standards and accuracy while managing multiple concurrent priorities.
Experience with the Epic EMR is considered a plus.
Professional certifications such as PMP or Agile are considered a plus.
Epic Certifications (e.g., Bridges, Beaker, or Willow) are also considered a plus.

The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits depending on the position.
