The Role
We are seeking a Cards Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of card payment-related technology initiatives across Issuing and Acquiring related products. This role bridges business, technology, and external service partners to ensure successful implementation across various platforms, card payment processing systems, integrations in line with regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in card payments ecosystems, excellent project management skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery & Management;
- Lead end-to-end delivery of technical nature projects related to Issuing and Acquiring products, included but not limited to new product/payment method implementations, functionality enhancements, card scheme mandates, system upgrades, migrations, and/or regulatory changes;
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies;
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, product, operations, compliance, vendors;
- Track milestones and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, drive resolution.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners;
- Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and delivery commitments;
- Manage change control and release coordination;
- Handle vendor incident escalation and resolution;
- Communicate project status, risks, and decisions to senior leadership;
- Technical & Business Analysis;
- Translate business requirements into technical deliverables and implementation plans;
- Review system designs, APIs, and integration approaches with technical teams;
- Support UAT, production readiness, and post-launch stabilization;
- Contribute to Issuing product launch and testing on the new core banking system.
About You
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or related field;
- 5+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in cards or payments technology;
- Strong understanding of the card payments lifecycle (authorization, clearing, settlement, chargebacks);
- Experience working with card processors, networks, or issuing platforms;
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder technical projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in banking, fintech, or payment processing environments;
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies;
- Knowledge of PCI DSS, EMV, 3DS, and card network rules;
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification;
- Experience with cloud-based payments platforms and APIs.
