Theoria’s Data Science and Analytics Department is seeking a dedicated and experienced Technical Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will lead and manage complex data-driven projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management prowess, and exceptional communication skills.
Shift Structure:
- Monday-Friday 10am-6pm EST

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Data Engineers in the DSA team, the Director of DSA, CTO, CEO, and other stakeholders to identify business requirements, build new project plans and roadmaps, and estimate resource needs
- Work closely with the software technical teams and various teams to help ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Help bridge cross-team communications and help minimize divergence among different engineering team practices
- Work with the DSA team and CTO to establish realistic deadlines for roadmap items, hold team members accountable to tasks, and execute the roadmap on time
- Monitor and report on progress of different development projects
- Schedule and conduct meetings such as sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and requirements gathering sessions
- Assist on actual implementations of projects, like training key users, writing documentations, and coordinating data migration processes when needed
- Get involved in meetings with third parties to scope integration capabilities
- Provide a daily summary of development efforts/progress to appropriate team members
- Work with the developers to understand problems/issues and provide a solution or work with others to solve
- Take lead on communication with external vendors regarding new interfaces/license setups
- Highlight and assess team utilization rates and focus areas by team members and report to management the needs and gaps for hiring and resource use.
- Announce new software update/release notes to users and provide training/demo for complex updates
- Understand developer tickets sufficiently to clarify requirements or seek complete information necessary for coding from appropriate team member(s)
- Maintain project management tools and boards (Jira, Monday, Gitlab, etc.)
- Lead team meetings with developers and update PM tools to reflect latest status, blockers, and dependencies
Requirements and Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of healthcare IT / biotech / life sciences experience
- Experience in managing new product development projects from zero to production
- Experience with Electronic Health Records is highly desirable
- Familiarity with different project management methodologies and being able to identify and apply which will work best for different projects and teams
- Understanding of high-level healthcare concepts
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical, planning, and organization skills
