Technical Project Manager - Network Planning

Work Location: USA Remote

In this role, you will support the strategic acquisition and deployment of network elements for infrastructure site planning. You will be responsible for planning, designing, and procuring the network assets that drive the infrastructure to meet customer demand. The project moves at a rapid pace and hyper scale, so you will be building the network for not only today but for the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the successful delivery and management of critical infrastructure initiatives on the customer's strategic roadmap related to network planning and delivery.
  • Support the effective engagement across Engineering teams for successful delivery of network and data center capacity across concurrent builds.
  • Influence, activate, and orchestrate across Engineering teams to build alignment and drive results.
  • Provide program and project management expertise to complex data center network initiatives, understanding interdependencies between workstreams for data center design, build, and deployment activities.
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and ensure that project goals are in line with customer objectives.
  • Seek opportunities to bring about ongoing improvement and simplification in processes leading to improved efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Track and manage priorities and committed actions to drive progress and provide actionable insights.
  • Preparation and presentation of data center infrastructure build summaries to the project team.
  • Drive planning from signal to add, augment, decommission data center network routes and use existing design standards to validate network design, space, power, routing, portmap builds, and final delivery.
  • Utilize networking knowledge to fulfill custom network design configurations, bill of materials, and they have a team that will confirm they selected the right space and power moving forward

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
  • Experience managing project workstreams for data center construction, infrastructure builds and network augmentations.
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure within data center facilities.
  • Program/project management certifications or qualifications with proven ability to deliver complex programs.
  • Proven ability to create effective relationships, listen, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels and across global teams.
  • Ability to inspire confidence in senior leaders and motivate team members.
  • Excellent communication skills including high quality written communications and the ability to articulate complex information in a simple way.
  • Program Management degree or certification or equivalent work experience in the infrastructure or hyper scaling industry.
  • Subject matter expertise in the telecommunications space, physical network infrastructure, optical technologies, network engineering, and provisioning.

Salary Range

$105,260.00 - $166,200.00 USD (Salary)

  • Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.
  • Further, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position. Where an applicant or employee is placed on this range will depend and be contingent on objective, documented work-related considerations like education, experience, certifications, licenses, preferred qualifications, among other factors.
