Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is a global quantitative and systematic investment manager, operating in all liquid asset classes across the world. We are a technology and data driven group implementing a scientific approach to investing. Combining data, research, technology, and trading expertise has shaped our collaborative mindset, which enables us to solve the most complex challenges. QRT’s culture of innovation continuously drives our ambition to deliver high quality returns for our investors.

We are looking for a seasoned Technical Project Manager to serve as the dedicated technology advisor and delivery lead for all office build outs, expansions, renovations, and relocation projects.
You will be the primary technology consultant for all new office build-outs and expansions. You’ll define the technology vision for our spaces, translate business needs into technical specifications, and orchestrate the external IT vendors who bring that vision to life. You’ll be the subject matter expert at the table, interfacing with general contractors, external technology and our managed service provider to ensure the built environment supports the technology plan. Your deep expertise will be on handling technical specifications and executing projects with focus on comms room and office infrastructure.

Your future role within QRT

Technology Consulting

  • Serve as the in-house technology consultant to internal stakeholders (Facilities, IT, Business Units), advising on workplace technology standards, emerging trends, and optimal solutions for each new office location.
  • Facilitate technology programming workshops to gather requirements: collaboration needs, headcount per zone, security zones, IoT aspirations.
  • Translate these business requirements into technical scopes, and vendor-ready statements of work for:
  • Structured cabling (copper and fiber backbone)
  • Network infrastructure (LAN specifications, wireless access points, internet circuits)
  • Collaboration systems (conference rooms, huddle spaces, digital signage, room booking panels)

Project Leadership & Vendor Orchestration

  • Own the full lifecycle of technology delivery for office build-outs and expansions: from initial design to procurement, installation, testing, and occupancy handover.
  • Build detailed project plans, budgets, and risk registers for the technology workstream.
  • Manage external technology vendors and integrators—low-voltage cablers, AV installers, IT service provider.
  • Negotiate SOWs, drive competitive pricing, and hold vendors to performance milestones and quality standards.
  • Act as the primary technology point of contact with the general contractor and external vendors ecosystem to clarify coordination needs.

Quality Control & Technical Assurance

  • Define acceptance criteria and lead on-site technology inspections during rough-in, trim, and final commissioning phases.
  • Validate cable certification reports, network performance tests, AV system functionality, and security device provisioning before sign-off.
  • Maintain a strong attention to detail: labeling standards, rack elevations, patch panel schedules, as-built documentation, and firmware levels are all part of your quality bar.
  • Manage the technology punch list and drive vendors to zero-defect completion.
  • Standards, Documentation & Continuous Improvement
  • Develop and curate a reusable “Office Build-outs Technology Playbook” driving standard specifications for cabling, AV, network that can be applied globally across projects.
  • Ensure that every project closes with a complete technical handover package: as-built drawings, configuration files, asset inventories, warranty details, and operational runbooks.
  • Gather lessons learned after each project, refine standards, and contribute to making each new office smarter and easier to deploy than the last.

Occupancy & Transition to Operations

  • Plan and execute the technology portion of employee move-in days, ensuring network, AV, and security systems are fully operational and user-ready.
  • Provide support during the first weeks post-occupancy, directly troubleshooting any systemic issues and ensuring a smooth transition to the new space.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical project management with a strong emphasis on office build outs and workplace technology deployments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in consulting and designing workplace technology solutions, not just managing installation crews.
  • Strong knowledge across structured cabling, comms room specifications, enterprise networking, modern AV and collaboration.
  • Proven experience managing external technology vendors and system integrators—writing scopes of work, negotiating contracts, and driving accountability.
  • Ability to translate complex technology requirements to non-technical business leaders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with standard project management and collaboration tools (MS Project ,Jira, Confluence).
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification (or commitment to obtain).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure.

Other requirements

  • Willingness to travel to different office locations as needed
  • Ability Availability to work outside of standard office hours when necessary.
