Technical Project Manager – Data & Cloud

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong foundation in software development and modern data technologies who has evolved into a highly effective project and program leader.
This role is ideal for someone who began their career as a hands-on developer or technical professional and has transitioned into leading complex technology initiatives. The successful candidate will bring both technical credibility and strong project management discipline—someone who can engage deeply with engineers and architects, understand technical decisions and dependencies, and translate complex concepts into clear plans and outcomes for business and senior leadership.
Supporting one of our top clients, a leading global asset management firm, this individual will lead cross-functional initiatives spanning data platforms, cloud technologies, digital experiences, and UX, ensuring that complex technology programs are delivered successfully and aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional programs focused on Data Cloud technologies and UX, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resources, and success criteria.
- Manage programs from planning through delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals, milestones, budgets, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams, portfolio companies, technical teams, and external vendors to drive successful execution.
- Communicate program status, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies clearly to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to internal groups on leveraging Data Cloud technologies and improving digital experiences.
- Apply strong knowledge of Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and related technologies to guide scalable data solutions and ensure architecture and integrations align with business needs.
- Leverage prior hands-on development or engineering experience to understand technical challenges, dependencies, and delivery risks.
- Champion user-centric design and effective UX practices across digital initiatives.
- Proactively identify risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and drive corrective actions to keep programs on track.
- Drive continuous improvement within the Portfolio Delivery Office by establishing effective program management frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
Eligibility Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience across technology development, project management, and/or program management, with demonstrated progression from technical roles into project/program leadership.
- Prior hands-on software development, engineering, or technical implementation experience strongly preferred.
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional technology programs.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, integrations, APIs, data flows, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with Data Cloud platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies and tools such as Jira, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
- UX, data visualization, or data integration experience is a plus.
- PMP, PgMP, or similar certification is a plus.
In the US, the target base salary for this role is $150,000-$170,000. Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. We expect the majority of candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall throughout the range based on these factors
